The hardest to learn is the least complicated

Someone in our neighborhood is still working through the complicated ins and outs of Hopscotch . I find it impossible to pass by this sweet drawing without smiling.

I love this photo. Besides being very sweet, it reminds me of day when I feel like the young person who drew this, only in my grown-up world. Those days, I feel like I should know so much more than I do or that I should be better at whatever I'm trying to accomplish — even just everyday living —and I feel a bit raw and vulnerable as a result. Sometimes when I'm in the right space, days like that can surprise me with an opportunity to climb into God's lap and rest. All that from a wonky hop-scotch drawing!
